Rocketry Workshop: A STEAM Adventure

Yes, it’s cool to see a rocket blast-off into the air, but this workshop is about so much more. It’s a wonderful example of STEAM in action. Suitable for grades 4-8. (Outdoors Only)

Working on a team, our future astronauts will use creativity and chemistry to harness the energy from a reaction, to generate enough force to launch a rocket into the sky.

​Using rockets to teach kids about STEAM provides a highly engaging and hands-on way to learn about scientific principles like physics, engineering design, and mathematics, allowing students to apply these concepts in a real-world context through building, launching, and analyzing their own rockets, fostering critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a strong interest in STEM fields; it also encourages teamwork and data collection while sparking curiosity about space exploration.
